We had a busy schedule last week in Brussels: The EIC Summit 2026 and the closing EIC Portfolio meeting. We could engage with other visitors, reconnect with colleagues, and even had the chance to demonstrate our final SYMBIOTIK prototype.
The 2026 Summit welcomed more than 2000 participants, 130 speakers delivering 17 inspiring Leaders Stage sessions, and 15 workshops. With 40 exhibitors, 9 satellite events, 10 EUnicorner sessions, and the inspiring European Prize for Women Innovators Award Ceremony, this edition has been arguably a memorable one. The Portfolio meeting reunited all EIC Pathfinder projects of the Awareness Inside call, even the projects that finished one year ago. In perspective, we have accomplish quite a lot together: more than 20 workshop events, over 500 scientific publications, 5 patents, 8 startup initiatives, and 1 book about Computational Awareness that will be published very soon. Some of the projects will progress to the Transition or Accelerator programmes, showcasing their potential to disrupt the deep tech market.
